According to Jim Rohn, “We must all suffer one of two things: the Pain of Discipline or the Pain of Regret and Disappointment.”
I would like to define Discipline as doing what you don’t like now so that you can enjoy the future. Examples include, going to the gym daily or exercising daily to keep your body in shape; working more hours and sleeping less to maximize your business, career or schooling opportunity; saving money for the future and ignoring the tempting pleasures of today; and keeping yourself pure before marriage so that you enjoy future marriage in peace.
Pain of Discipline gives you pain and discomfort now, but brings comfort and joy in future. On the other hand, if you choose to be in-disciplined today, your only option in future is Regret and Disappointment.
Choose today which pain you want: the Pain of Discipline or the Pain of Regret and Disappointment.
If you choose the pain of discipline, then together you and I are a winning team.
